Value the designer and the designer will be valuable
It wasn't until I started reading The Toyota Way that I realized what had been so difficult in several projects I've done for Fortune 500 companies. The UX and development teams were not a part of the continuous flow of product to the customer.
At Western Union, my team and I worked diligently to evolve a responsible UX process. However, unless all teams are synchronized, waste overwhelms any value the individual UX team can deliver.
