    I spent two years working with a growing global advertising network to develop and deliver a sophisticated collaboration system, including enterprise-wide knowledge management and a full-featured business intelligence service.

    More important than all the features, the glitz and the internal promotion was the question: "Does the culture in this company support and promote collaboration?" Like the Lean approach, collaboration must start at the top.
